CEDUNA

The town of Ceduna is located on the Far West Coast of South Australia, on the scenic shores of Murat Bay on the Great Australian Bight, approximately 780km from Adelaide and 1900 road km to Perth.

Ceduna is the major centre to a large and diverse business and industry sector on the Far West Coast of Eyre Peninsula. The Eyre Highway (National Highway One A1) passes directly through the town.

THEVENARD

Thevenard is our deep-sea port exporting grain, salt, mineral sands and gypsum. Small fleets of fishing boats also share the bay.

The small, friendly town has two fish processors, a seven- day-a-week supermarket, and hotel. The Thevenard Sports & Community Club is open for dinners during winter football season on Friday & Saturday nights, and welcomes visitors.

SMOKY BAY

40km drive southeast of Ceduna on the Flinders Highway, Smoky Bay is ideal for a coastal holiday. It has a permanent population of some 200 people.

DENIAL BAY

The township is 14km west of Ceduna on sealed road. Take the first turn left after the BP Roadhouse. This bay offers rewarding fishing and squidding, and blue swimmer crabs are plentiful from the jetty when in season – November to March. Take a look at the local oyster farms. Fresh product may be available from farms.

THE FAR WEST COAST

Far enough away from bustling city life to keep its unspoiled environment and solitude, the Far West Coast offers spectacular beaches and cliffs bordered by isolated bushland. It is an uncrowded and uniquely different place to live or holiday.
